Hospitality here is not a mere word, but a real passion. Behind our warm service lies the work of the Huber family and the friendly staff of Hotel Olympia, a 4-star hotel in Riscone at the foot of Plan de Corones.

The family behind the Olympia

Hosts in Riscone for over 50 years
Hotel Olympia has been owned by the Huber family since 1973. Founded by Maria and Josef Huber, it is now run by their children Martin and Carmen Huber – with experience, dedication and a close connection to our guests.

Three generations under one roof

Senior host Maria Huber is still very much part of the hotel today – and little escapes her eye for detail. Barbara Huber, Martin and Carmen’s sister, has been part of the hotel for many years and has long been a familiar face at reception for our regular guests.

The next generation is already firmly rooted in the business, too: Alex Huber, Carmen’s son, works in the office and in service. Tommy Huber, Martin’s son, works in service and looks after social media – so that the Olympia comes across online just as it is: personal and family-run.

Close to our guests

The family doesn’t work behind the scenes, but where the guests are: at reception, in service, in personal conversations and on outings together. Many guests have been coming back for years, some over several generations. Familiar faces have turned into friendships.

The Huber family has lived for generations in Riscone, at the foot of Plan de Corones: this is where they grew up and where their roots are. For them, Plan de Corones is both their home mountain and an everyday backdrop – and a place they love to show their guests.

The Olympia is a family-run hotel in South Tyrol and intends to stay that way. Whatever changes may come, the hotel keeps its character: warm, down-to-earth, helpful and with a real family feel. At the same time, the younger generation’s ideas bring fresh momentum to the hotel.
